Re: S-Series Spot and Shot

Re: Brand new ball joints have play

Do the ball joints have holes for grease fittings? Maybe they didn't come pre-greased & are already wearing from metal on metal contact?

Another thing, are you sure it's the ball joint causing the...

Re: Issues with camber for circle track

I'd think a longer strut would cause positive camber if anything. Stock normally when the car is in the air, the struts fully extended, the wheels will be slightly positive, then go slightly negative...

Re: Saturn Craigslist Deal of the Day!

It could be a good thing or a bad thing, it could show they cared about the car, took care of it & wanted to personalize it. The only thing I worry about when I see mods is has it been done right or...

Re: Air Conditioning Clutch Electromagnetic coil fix. 2001 SC1

The coil was bad on my car when I bought it. I just got a coil & clutch off a junkyard car vs trying to repair the old one. The A/C amazingly worked fine after replacing it, didn't need to add any...

Re: S series junkyard autopsies/who says small cars are unsafe?

I'm sure in states with full inspections, rusts has ended a lot of them. I'm guessing mine wouldn't pass in PA with how much of the underside is missing or patched with my great welds lol but I drive...

Re: S-Series Spot and Shot

I've been seeing a lot less recently. During a trip last week across multiple states, I only remember seeing 1 or 2 the whole time... but I'm guessing not a lot of people who still have S-Series...

Re: S series junkyard autopsies/who says small cars are unsafe?

The way I've driven mine, I'm amazed it hasn't shot it out yet... I'm always taking off hard, chirping the tires, taking turns fast. I drive it like the sports car it's not.. xD

Re: Radio? iPhone?

That one isn't running android, so you'd be stuck with whatever features it comes with & no updates, less customizable, no built in GPS, the screen is only 800x480 & doesn't say if it's IPS or not,...

The radio is a little smaller than the opening.
I had bought something like this ->

Re: High idle and Horrible MPG

Yep if it's jumping up randomly it could be other issues like wiring, the connector, grounding, the computer itself or as simple as just the sensor.

Torque Strut, Strut to Cradle Bracket & Transaxle Mount to Cradle Nut Torque Specs

I've been googling trying to figure out what is correct.

I've seen 24 ft-lbs for the trans mount into the trans.

Thought I'd give an update on the trailing arm mount. It's still is holding up fine. A few months ago I replaced the trailing arm itself on that side since it wasn't looking great.

Re: I went to check on a issue with my parking brake but found something way worse..

Thank you. I had put them at 27ft/lb, I'll have to tighten them a bit more. I'll likely have to replace the plastic seat support though because it was cracking more while tightening the driver's side...

Re: I went to check on a issue with my parking brake but found something way worse..

The driver's side took like 3 minutes of ugga-duggas to get off, while the passenger side was a lot easier & the center ones just zipped off in a second.
