coolant level sensor

99 sl

I have had issues of bad heater cores in the past, so i am very alert about the low coolant light. It seems to be stuck on. I have checked, and triple checked the coolant levels, all good.

So, bad sensor? seems to just be a flaot, so i am not sure how it would really fail other than age. is this common?

Re: coolant level sensor

my tank looks very chalky, i fear i have some sort of coolant leak( strange temp issues, I dont like my needle movement) so when i saw this light, i freaked out. I had ordered a new tank a few weeks ago as it was the only thing I have not replaced. i think ill install the new one and clean the old one and see if that helps the issues.
