1998 SC2 Transmission Shift Lever

1998 SC2 Transmission Shift Lever

Look at the flat worn on the Shift Lever dog (shiny flat spot).

I took a pair of Vice Grip pliers and rotated the dog 90 degrees.

This helped to remove some play in the system.

There looks to be something like a 2:1 ratio on the Shift Arm (Bell Lever)...so, a little slop at the dog wastes a lot of wrist action at the gear shift lever (between the seats).

(Lube that linkage, boys and girls!)
