GM posted a rather promising update last week concerning the development of its upcoming Saturn Vue Plug-In Hybrid.  With all of the media attention surrounding the General's other plug-in electric hybrid car, the Chevrolet Volt, its easy to forget about Saturn's equally impressive electrified compact sport-utility. The aforementioned updates come courtesy of Larry Nitz, GM's Executive Director of Hybrid Powertrain Engineering.

AutoWeek magazine reported via its website earlier this week that Saturn will indeed offer a new version of its critically acclaimed and increasingly popular Aura sedan. The Detroit News reported this past weekend that the innovative Chevrolet Volt concept was put on display for one final time in Washington, DC last week. "The Chevy Volt is about to go into hiding," wrote the paper. "When General Motors debuted the concept version of the battery-powered Chevy at the 2007 auto show, its techno-sporty looks drew standing ovations. It was a design diva, accepting as many exterior accolades as its revolutionary powertrain."
