Attention 2007 Saturn Vue OnStar/XM Antenna Question and Sirius

Whoever can help ,
I just purchased a 2007 Saturn Vue. I've had Sirius for years and want to install it in my Vue. The Saturn Place is taking care of most of it but I've read at various places that you can hook up your sirius to the XM antenna with mixed results. My question is (i'm afraid to start pulling pannels off) what cable/ connector/ etc do I need to plug the XM/Onstar Antenna into my Sirius Sportster PNP unit? I've seen various things with single and dual leads... please help as my sirius is being installed next week after my sunroof is put in and I need to buy the cables soon.

Thanks all!

REWARD EXCELLENCE!

Cant do it yet... not available.

It is true that Onstar and XM share the antenna, but it is one wire, controlled by the VCIM. Run your cable like normal, and if possible, use the AUX port on the radio (if exuipped). It sounds soooo much better.

dang, that sucks I swear I kept reading where people were plugging their built in XM antenna into their Sirius tuner but never with vehicles having the dual XM/Onstar antenna... oh well

Thanks for the reply!
