Default Battery Dies on crank

Ok, i have all the timing all set. I have an Optima hooked up with full battery power. I also have a 2nd battery hooked up in parrallel just in case thats my issue.

When i start to crank the engine, just as it goes to spark, it stops cranking. Then it slowly starts again and everything comes back on. Has anyone experienced this before

1-Flooded engine? Pulling the plugs will tell you if you have raw gas filling up the cylinders creating a hydraulic lock; fluids are incompressible.

2-Maybe a worn starter?

its possible to be the starter except that i drove the car here, so unless i broke it in the process, but its possible. And i cleared the engine of fluid.

Check to see if all your connections at the starter are tight. If they are, hook up a volt meter where the battery cable is hooked up at the starter to see if your getting 12 volts.
