roof rack crossbars question

Hey there!

Can anybody tell me how to remove the crossbars from the roof rack of a 2000 LW2? These are ones that came from the dealer. We have them unlocked, just can't figure out how to remove them.

Any help is most appreciated as we'd like to put them on another vehicle since the LW2 finally died.

I honestly don't know,as my 2003 LW300 does not have crossbars,and as far as I can tell,no place to mount them.

Anyone have any ideas,please let me know !!

I just ordered the crossbars from the dealer. If you don't have an answer in a week, I'll post the instructions that I get with the bars that I ordered.

I have a 2003 LW200, which I bought in the sumer of 2004. At the time, I bought the crossbars. I don't know if they are different from what would have come with a 2000. They are not on now, only occasionally, but as I remember, you unlock each one, at the side, and then turn that side counter-clockwise, like you are unscrewing a bolt. The lock cylinder is on 1 side of the crossbar, and maybe in your case, 1 bar is on the passenger side and the other is on the driver's side. They might be turned on really tight, but if you get them off, the notes say don't make then TOO tight

Thank you so much! We tried turning them counter-clockwise & they finally came off! We had tried that earlier, before my original post, but apparently we didn't turn them far enough.

By the way, we also found out that they (the ones you get from a Saturn dealer) will fit on top of a 2004 Honda Odyssey.
