Oil leak 2002 VUE
I had my car in for service - replaced the crankshaft sensor. The dealership told me that I have an oil leak and need the oil pressure regulator replaced. The cost is $450.00. They did not have the part in stock and told me to bring it back to have the work done. The car is running ok so I am hesitant to have the repair. I am afraid that if I don't have the part installed I will end up with bigger problems. I have checked the oil several times and it seems fine.
Any advice would be appreciated.

Re: Oil leak 2002 VUE
The oil pressure regulator would be more internal to the engine and coul dnot leak externally.
Oil pressure sending unit perhapps????? If so it would not be 450$ to replace. Are you actually getting an oil leak onto the ground?
If nothing else make asure that you keep a close eye on the oil level. Check after each fuel fill.
A lousy day in paradise is still a day in paradise.
