Default PO133 O2 Sensor Circuit Slow Response (Bank 1 Sensor 1)

PO133 O2 Sensor Circuit Slow Response (Bank 1 Sensor 1) This is the code I pulled from my 98 SWII with 158K on it. Which O2 sensor is this? I'm guessing it most likely needs to be replaced right? I have a couple of extra sensors from a 96 SL2 that I tore apart a few years ago. Will this work? Aftermarket? New?

Thanks
Don

The banks are relative only to V-type engines. All inline 4 cyl engines only have a bank 1. Sensor number relate to their position relative to the catalytic converter. Sensor 1 is always before the cat. Sensor 2 is always after the cat. Replace the sensor. It's dead. Personally, I'd use a new one. You don't know how old the replacement sensors are, but I guess you can always give it a shot.

Thanks Gerry, interesting we both signed up in Oct. 2002 and at the time of the original post I had posted a total of 24 times and you had posted 1244 times. What does it all mean?

Thanks for your response. I'll probably pick up a new one. Just to clarify then, the one I need to replace is in the exhaust manifold right?

Don

Yes, the sensor in the manifold. And the post count means I need to find something productive to do.

Helping people is productive. You saved me the hassle of figuring it out myself. Thanks Gerry.

Just an update. I replaced the sensor with a Bosch from Kragen for $23 and everything seems to be fine.
