Default Error Code 1599 - Wtf??

I have a 2002 SL1 and have found an error code (using Snap-On scan tool) that I can't wrap my head around;

P1599 CC PWR MGMT MODE OR ENGINE STALL

Here's the screwy part - my car does not stall, nor has it ever stalled. It runs and idles nice and smoothly too.

Is this what this code is really about or am I misunderstanding something?

Thanks in Advance

which snap on products were you using? quite a few of the snap on tools have a lookup thing with a database on the code problems.

if so, you might have thought that you messed up a shift or something. i had a near stall on my car once when in had the sohc in it. never happened again.

Thanks for responding folks!

deadmeat3344:
I scanned my car using the latest MODIS scan tool

tarsun:
My car is an automatic, so it shouldn't stall at all. I'll try clearing all the codes from my car and rescanning it and see what happens

Thanks again guys!

That code can pop if it sees rpms dip below 500. Doesnt have to stall to pop code.

I found a P1599 in mine as well. GM says that this code can be the result of "driver error". It does not trigger a MIL code so it should not effect SMOG. I probably popped the clutch at some point.

If you let the clutch out too fast you will set that code. It is not a big deal.
