Foglights on the base VUE??

Being a country driver, you realize the importance of good lighting while driving at night..... Better to watch the deer/bear/turkey with. That leads me to wonder if the stock foglights are retrofittable to the base 5spd 4cyl VUE. It also makes me wonder if they are worth it because the VUE has great lighting already.

I am wondering if the IP wiring harness has the connection point for the fog light switch to plug into it. I do know that the underhood fuse block DOES contain the fuse and relay for the fog lights. I also wonder if the connection is there in the "under fascia" wiring harness to connect the connector harness into for the fog lights. The fascia does have the correct mounting location for the lamp assemblies.

In calling the dealer, they quote that it isn't worth the time because of the harness differences....blah, blah, blah. I do have the GM part numbers for all of the material, but don't know if it is all able to be plugged in. Since I work for the General, I do have calls into the actual harness engineer and am waiting to hear from them.

I will let all of you know what they say, but in the meantime if anyone has the first-hand experience, I would like to hear it.

Sorry I don't know anything to help you, except that I believe I've seen in earlier posts that the harness was not installed at the factory for the 4 cyl models and that all of the parts would be about $2k (choke!)
