lol... I did the same thing the other day. My 96 Sl2 with about 90,000 miles on the engine needed a good ole cleaning. I used about 3/4 of the can. Left for 20 minutes. Started the car, sluggishly, and revved! Cloud of toxic smoke filled the whole street for about 10 minutes... lol.

Since I head out to work at 4am or so I try to do it then.....and almost always at that time of morning the smoke drifts harmlessly down the street and CottonWood tree lined wash and not anyones home..... apparently this man hasn't had enough fiber in his diet or lost his last viagra *shrug* He will rue the day he Messed with my OLDFOGEYFOGGER AND THE PLUME OF DOOM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Hehe a couple of the local donut patrolmen stopped me at seperate times.....asking about the smoke(we don't have smog inspections here but they can make you stop driving your vehicle if it looks hazardous to you or the general public) they seafoam their personal vehicles and were looking into having the City do their older cruisers!
I can just see some crackhead about dying when he sees a smoking cop car and thinks it's afterburners!!!! LOL

My neighbors don't even come over to check if anything is wrong anymore. I have done: on my car: MMO soak 2x, Seafoam 2x, roommates car: Seafoam 2x, other roommates car seafoam 1x.

I've smoked up the neighborhood every time . Had two of my neighbors ask if everything was ok the first two times I did it, but just give me strange looks now.

But does it actually help? I've MMO'd my 98 SC2 and didn't get any benefits from it.

I didn't notice much of a difference with the first mmo treatment. Noticed a very slight improvement with the second one. Don't know if it was worth it, though. I saw much more of an improvement by replacing my leaky cam cover gasket .

I do believe that using seafoam through a vacuum line helps - after the second treatment of that, I could actually see how much cleaner the intake manifold was. Went from a 1/4" of gunk everywhere to almost clean enough to eat out of - I could see bare aluminum.

Putting seafoam in a spray bottom through the intake is a nice way of doing it for general cleaning. The prefered method is straight from the bottle in one of the vacuum manifold tubes.

If you normally run MMO through your gas or oil you probably won't see a difference. If you do it only once you probably won't see a difference. But if you do it a couple of times, you will see something.
