VUE Radio-Not getting sound

I have the single-disk MP3/CD/Radio/XM player in my VUE.
Recently, I am not getting sound when I am in the radio mode.
It works fine when there is a cd going, or it is in the XM mode,
which tells me it's not the speakers or a fuse problem (or it seems nothing would be working). Any ideas what the problem could be??

Sounds like you lost your antenna connection....I've had other cars with this issue, the antenna cable plugs into the back of the unit, and sometimes it isn't all that snug (wiggles out). Don't know how you can get at it without ripping out the centre console...If it is under warranty take it in, and let them do it....

It is one of 2 things. It is either an antenna cable issue, or it is a software issue. Take it back to your dealer and have them diagnose and fix it since it is still under warranty.

I'd definitely suspect the antenna first since other inputs are working.

Update:

I didn't fool too much with the thing, didn't have the time to tear up the console, so I....took the car to the carwash, and everything works swell now.

I guess water is the answer to all problems Saturn?

If the car wash brought the radio back, it may be your AM/FM antenna. It just screw onto the mount. It can be tighten with a cresent wrench.

I suggest you take it off, clean out whatever may have gotten (or crept) into the mount. Replace (taking care not to overtighen) and see if it works.
