Try soaking it with some PB Blaster for a day or so. Then put on a good pair of vise grips since it is already bad. I think you could also take that bracket off and put it all in a vise for more leverage.

Now that you have the brake line off you can get a nice deep 6 point socket on there. Don't be suprised if it's SAE and not metric, brake parts are funny that way. You'll want to back that bracket up with the vise grips as it'll flex hard-core when you put serious torque on the nut. Romzek is right about the pb blaster too.

Don't be suprised if you need a new rubber hose and bracket too, it is frustrating but sometimes for the best to go all-new.

First, PB Blaster is your friend. Act like you own stock in the stuff.

Since you've cut the line, your best hope is a SIX-POINT socket of the appropriate size. You might even wanna cut off more of the line, so you can fit a standard depth (rather than deep-well) socket on there.

Heat might help, too.

If the socket doesn't work, and that is your best shot, you're going to need to use vice grips. You'll need to clamp them on what is left of the nut VERY TIGHTLY before you try to turn it!

Are you replacing the hard line or are you going to try to reflare the end (looks to me to be the hard line that runs from the master cylinder to the flex line that is cut/broken)?

you can splice metal brake line if you get a double flare tool. Little doodad that you put the nut on first (as it won't go on later) then make the end of the line bulge and then you can put a joiner on.

New line is so silly cheap though unless you're splicing onto something that you know is much better than what you're replacing you might as well go all new from the master cylinder on down.

How long, and how complicated/hard do you think it would be to replace all the brake lines to the SS Brake Hose?

Not an issue I have to deal with right now, but living in Michigan, I know Its going to happen eventually.

Thanks

the rear ones were easy. the metal line nuts came off easily. The front ones were a headache though.. same thing happened with me (nut wouldnt budge and line broke).

its simply bolt off bolt on and bleed the brakes.. its just getting the front two lines off that is a pain.
