Here's the 2008 VUE with no camoflauge at all, other than over the Saturn badges:

Looks like a cross between an Equinox, and a Pacifica. It's a little too narrow in the front, and the mirrors are just weird. It's OK, but the Torrent is still the best looking Theta.
I do like the look of the back end of the NuVUE though.... Aut viam inveniam aut faciam ... If your ECTS is not brass...your ass is grass. ... If you have a problem, if no one else can help, and if you can find him, maybe you can hire Uzzy.

I like it a lot, except for the rims and the sloping rear roofline. It looks like it may hamper visibility, and give it a Vibe/Matrix look, which isn't all that bad.
The fake side exhaust ports look interesting. I was expecting taillights that had the chrome accents like the other new Saturns. Maybe they will in final production. I don't see anything styling-wise that will hamper sales. Of course styling is subjective, but its styling elements are not out of line from other hot-selling models from the competition. ... 2008 Astra 3dr, Black, manual, adv. audio, premium trim, 18s. 2003 Honda Element EX 1994 Chevy S-10 Past Saturns: 97 SL2, 01 SC2, 04 VUE.

It is identical to the Opel version, just some tweaks here and there (reflectors being one)....I like to look at this one, instead of spy photos...

I don't care for Saturn's new upper-chrome-bar grill look...way to similar to a chevy..
I still want to see some shots in something other than white..it doesn't seem too flattering on this VUE Do we know how well the Antara is being received in Europe? I've went looking for pics from Opel, but it seems it's only on the German site..is it being sold outside Germany? I was hoping more for the Antara GTC concept look...they really dumbed it down Last edited by sspeer; 09-22-2006 at 03:01 PM..

Not a big fan of the front end, but I like the overall design better than I thought I would.
The body-color mirrors and other items look much better as shown in the Opal Antara drawing. Wish they would assemble in Spring Hill though, if its built in Mexico, I will purchase something else. Hope to afford an Outlook. ... Former Saturn salesperson...love the cars, hated the boss.

I wouldn't mind it if it wasn't called the VUE. The VUE is what we see today - the mid-size (larger than others in it's class) SUV with the similar design as it's had since 2002. I think if they're doing a redesign like this, it needs a new name.
But who knows ... if it works for the Civic (which has been through a million facelifts since it's inception) then it must work for everything, right? Maybe they're hoping that the positive connotations the VUE nameplate brings will help carry this on as the next new car from Saturn... That being said, I like the front end. It looks a little overly Chevy-ish, I'll agree to that, but it will blend nicely with the other cars offered by Saturn. The back end? Now that's another story. What the crap is up with those giant round red reflectors?!?! ![]() ... 93 SC2 purple, 204k, fixed but needs a battery 99 SL2 Homecoming, 92k, needs front struts 07 Red Line VUE, black, 42k, four wheel discs :)

I agree with most everyone so far. I really like the side and rear but the front just doesn't look right.

Can't say its horrible...but can't say its great either...its just not anything groundbreaking. Average, thats about it.....nothin special. The Outlook seems to have alot more appeal than the next Vue. Just don't understand why the designers couldn't making it something you really want.

One of the reasons the Japanese cars have been so sucessful has been their continuity and reliability. Including keeping their established names. The US cars are too quick to abandon the names and representations of their cars. They come out with a new name and a new design and then have to start at ground zero again. Saturn can work with this car. Red Line trim package would clean up the front and rear ends. 300hp will make driving it a kick. ... 2006 Black VUE Red Line - Never lost the faith... Vive la Saturn

Not like it matters but 1. i'm glad i got an '06.......2. a Vue to me is the current Vue not this and they rly should come up with a different name other than Vue.........3. they should've kept the current Vue in production at least another couple of years. It don't look too bad but Saturn's replacing perfection with an Opel.
