Cool, did our Saturn VUE's proud....
ALthough, it looked like you jumped the gun in the first race???
Nonetheless, the v6 really powers it way down the track....
I saw a 10.15 for an 1/8th? Does the new muffler help a lot?

I didn't redlight once, always took off perfect.

Not sure about the intake and exhaust improving my performance. I'm SURE they did something, but I never went before I modified the car.

Also, most of the interior of my vue was gutted. One time I got a fluke 10.03, haven't gotten that low twice though...

That's some cool video, burnout.

But it reminds me too much of my buddy, Avery. He had a 1993 mazda RX7 that he used to race on the 1/8 strips. It also happened to be his every day car as well.

He ran a few good races, and even trapped at an 8.997 1/8 mi.

The very next race, he blew his engine.... long story short, it's still sitting in his garage, 4 years later....

I hope you have backup transportaion.......

Good luck

I'm definitely glad the car is naturally aspirated, and I haven't done any major modifications that would compromise the durability of the motor. I do think I'm pretty much done this year at the track though, my tranny is probably not happy with me.

One thing I found is that VTEC makes all the difference between winning and losing. Most of the time I'm dead even with cars from the start, then once VTEC kicks in at 4400rpm, I start pulling on them...

Come to think of it, it was the turbo that gave up the Ghost in my buddys car.

I cannot praise the Honda engine enough. It is so wonderful on the highway, and as your video's have proven,is every bit the equal of some modded ricers ( and a mustang too.. Damn, that was cool) I really dig the way you beat the Civic with no muffler....

In a perfect world, the Vue would be available in FWD, with the Honda V-6, no traction control, and a 6 speed manual..... Oh the heaven that would be!!!

Dream SUV right there

At the launch, the car has to be in "L" because the tires do slip a little bit. If the car is in "D" the traction control kicks in and stops all acceleration. Once the tires are hooked up I have to put the gear selector into "I" or "D" because for some reason it shifts at 5500rpm instead of 6000rpm when in "L."

In the second video (Acura), I noticed your burnout was a 'one tire fire'. Do you know if anyone makes a LSD for the Vue (Honda)?

I think that was the only time one tire 'lit up'... Usually both spin but for some reason it didn't that time.

I also doubt anybody makes an LSD for this transmission... I want more aftermarket!
