Default What does getting a "special policy" mean?

Hello;
On another post (for a rotten BCM), one of the techs responded that the BCM's are 'junk' and to see if the owner could get a 'special policy' out of the dealership/service dept.

What exactly does this mean? Does it save money? Thanks!

What that means is you would need to contact the Saturn Customer Assistance Center and let them know of your concern with the BCM that you have had. They will often make an exception to a particular part to put your mind at ease if that part has given you multiple problems. What they would do is put an extension on the manufacturer's warranty on that part only. You just need to call 1-800-553-6000 and follow the prompts. They don't always do it based on how many miles and what year the vehicle is, but you can at least try. If it doesn't work you can usually get some free oil changes out of it.
