Default Saturn Truck

Does anybody know if Saturn is ever going to make a pickup truck. I was just curious since they are part of GM and since Chevy is also part of GM if they would use one of Chevy's truck to make it one of there own.

I highly doubt it, a pickup truck isn't the image or brand identity Saturn is going for. GM isn't that stupid, they know that if you want a truck you go to Chevy or GMC, not Pontiac, Saturn, Saab or Buick.

With GM's current state of affairs, I would highly doubt they would throw money into already saturated truck market.

But, then again, GM has done a few things....

Please don't. The Honda Ridgeline is enough of a "truck" from a company/division that exclusively makes CARS.

Well, I didn't think a minivan was the image or identity that Saturn was going for either..

Haha, yes, everytime I see their commercial about their line of "trucks" it makes me want to puke. A CR-V is FAR from anything remotely CLOSE to a truck.

Somebody's trying a little too hard to fit into today's market...

Lets hope someone at GM wakes up and realizes that having Saturn replace Olds with upscale BIGGER vehicles is not the way to increase Saturn buyers.Fuel efficent, inexpensive cars that are different is the way Saturn should be going IMO.A pickup would be a great idea I think. The GMC Canyon or Chevy Colorado would be the perfect choice.27mpg on the highway with the I-4 Screams Saturn.I think this will go a lot further way than the current future plans to make Saturn a sucess that V8s in larger size trucks with hefty price tags.Shouldnt that be Chevrolets and GMC playing field.

The truck is already sold under 3 nameplates however. It would have to compete with itself for more than its worth. And "different" cars were the way Saturn was going up until GM came in and took over, effectively making Saturns "just another GM car." Chances are they'll end up like Geo, GM will absorb them, produce what's left, and then drop the cars altogether.

Oh Jeez....here we go again.....we have some people here being sarcastic (which I get) and some other people are taking it for fact, committing hari kari with their polymer katanas....it's a car company, people. First and foremost it's purpose is to make and sell a product for profit....not prophet, as some people feel Saturn is a religion unto itself. wow. Do people feel this way about their refrigerators or hair dryers?

No, their Toyota Camrys are always well-made, reliable products superior to anything from GM.

Now you're getting me confused.
Is the Crosley in my garage, or is it the Camry in my kitchen?
Cammacrosley, perhaps?

Firstly, the Crosley was a fine/fun car

Secondly, http://www.gm.com.mx/content_data/LA...do/diseno.html this would make a fine Saturn truck.

well, if you go over to the Relay section, they're already talking about it not selling. That's why not have four of the same thing.

I read on another forum that the Relay sales were 4 times higher than mercury's and of course there are so few Saturn dealers. Of course Saturn dealers are far and few between. We have every possible GM dealership here in Pasadena including Saab and Hummer, but no Saturn. I was looking for a car for my sister in law in Northern California and the nearest dealer was 2 hours away. Its amazing Saturn sells as many as they do.
