Wow!!
Does that have Mercedes ML-Class fighter written
all over it or what.
Looks Great.

I've lost track of the platform sharing info, But it does seem
to be a very "midsize" platform by looking at where the rear
door meets the rear wheel opening.
I would say the platforms too big for a Vue considering the
upcoming Outlooks dimensions.
I have been wrong before however.

Hate to be the first person to complain...I was excited for the Lacross, not that I would want one but nice to see a decient looking car come out of Buick, however when I saw one at the car show it was another boring gm car. That old man interior, ugh! If Buick actully keeps with the concept would make a nice SUV...but no threat to 'benz! GM has to get back the trust back from people before they try to take the wind away from likes of MB and BMW...

The Enclave and Outlook will share the Lambda platform and the Vue will be on the Theta platform shared with the Opel Antara.

On a side note the Enclave is replacing both the Rendezvous and the Rainier. Surprised that Buick doesn't have anything replacing the Rendezvous on the new Theta (or maybe I haven't given them enough time to introduce it). Sad to see the Rainier go, IMO it is the best looking of the larger SUV's on the market.

I don't know if it will be a true competitor, but it certainly has that "laid back" look that alot of Lexus' and MB have. I think it is a great step foreward, but I think that the Japanese and German automakers have nothing to fear.

Perhaps, however the Terrazza is on the same platform as all the other GM vans, ie: Relay, Uplander and the Pontiac version (forgot name). Personally I don't know how the Buick is selling, but where I live I see more Uplanders. I have seen maybe three Relays and just as many Buicks around town (since they went on sale)!

Anyone know if it's true that Saturn will be dropping the Relay once the Outlook goes for sale? I had heard this from an inside source, considering sales were not that good (again in my area) and since the Outlook will seat seven.

As far as competing, I am not impressed with MB's new styling on the M-class or most of Japan's offerings. However if money were not an option I would take a BMW M-5 wagon. I know, not even in the same category but still a family hauler.
