Default Fixed dragging caliper, ABS light still on, need tool to clear?

So I was finally able to diagnose and fix my dragging driver's side rear caliper on my 93 SL1, replaced the pad mounting bracket and caliper pin sleeves, I think I had mangled the bracket when attempting to break its bolt loose. Now both wheels turn freely but my abs light is still on even after disconnecting the battery.

Is a scan tool required to reset the code or do I probably still have a problem? The abs was fine before I changed the rear brakes. The light comes on after the vehicle is moved.

What is the typical cost I should expect to pay to read the code, I've heard that most auto part stores can't read Saturn abs codes.

I somewhat had the same issue. try topping off your fluid, make sure the switch for the light (right on the e-brake, take center consol off to see it) is not being touched as well. let me know what happens.

sounds like you screwed up the speed sensor on the wheel(s) you worked on.

Are the sensors pressed in or can they be removed, can they be cleaned or just need to replace?

I remember checking abs sensors with an ohm meter to determine if they were bad, should I try this procedure?

If it's a sensor, it's built into the hub and the hub has to be replaced. From my reading on here, it's more common for the wiring to go than the sensor particularly the wiring to the right rear sensor. You can find a break by pulling on the wires and seeing where the insulation stretches.
