hi to all, glad to find this forum.
i have a 93 sl2 saturn, with no a/c. checked the relay to the clutch,it comes on ok. checked the a/c hi pressure switch with an ohmmeter looks like the switch is open. the wire to the switch reads 12v when the a/c on the dash is pushed. do i need to replace the switch? if so how is it done without the freon leaking out the switch? thanks, hobbs

Have you checked to make sure that you have enough of a charge in the system to run the AC? The switches in the AC lines have valves in them so that when the switch is removed the refrigerant does not come out.
... A lousy day in paradise is still a day in paradise.
