Default Buying a Saturn through Costco

Thanks Bobwill and Taxman for your feedback!

Has anyone ever tried the Costco Auto Buying program with a Saturn?

Should I also ask on the General Forum?

That's probably a good idea, as costco's auto club will probably knock a percent or two off of the MSRP. Generally I've heard that those buying clubs aren't worth it unless you know nothing about haggling; however, as Saturn dealers aren't suppossed to haggle then you'll probably get a better deal through costco.

Woldn't bother me if you asked in the general forum.

there is a difference between haggling and getting them to knock a few things off. and as long as you keep it within reason they will do it with the same smile attitude.

I went through the paces with Costco about 6 months ago when I thought I was about ready to buy a RL. Because the Costco Web site did not list the RedLine as an option (just 1, 2, or 3), I ended up emailing Costco. They replied that Saturn would not give a break in price but would add options to the car for free or at a reduced price. I ended up having to spend my money else where and have not yet made back to the point that I think I'm ready to buy, so, I have not actually run this past the local Saturn dealership.

I like nearly everthing I buy at Costco and would be interested to hear from anyone who has pushed one of these Costco purchases all the way through.

The Costco in my area didn't deal w/ any Saturn Dealerships in my area. I looked in a Trailblazer just to see what type of deal I would get...I ended up getting 40 emails per month from this dealership each one "more desperate" to try and get me to test drive a car.

I tried to get off the mailing list, but nothing worked.

Roll Eyes Re: Buying a Saturn through Costco

I purchased my 2004 Quad Coupe 3 with a manual transmission in October of 2003 through Costco. Saturn will give Costco members 400.00 in accessories or service (I applied the credit towards servicing for 1 year). Not much more can be gotten unless you want to argue from there. I also received 500.00 off directly from Saturn off the sticker price plus 0% financing for 5 years. Not a bad deal for me. I will be paid up in October 2008 (remember no interest charges at all).
