I have short shifters for sale. They are true short shifters, and much tighter than any other units out there. The prices are lower than SPS, and all the information is on my website. http://www.chris97sc2.com

Your site mentions a roller-bearing shifter with no free play. Can you go into detail without exposing too much to the competition? I'd like to see pictures of the modification like you had with the first short shifters.
Thanks, Herb

Herb: The bearings are installed in the block, where the side lever pivot shaft is held. 2 bearings - 1 on each end of the shaft. If you remove your center console, and move the side lever directly you will se the movement in the pivot shaft area. Next one I build I will have to get some pictures of it, even though the bearings are hard to see. I also shim out the main pivot ball to reduce the free play on all shifters I modify. This morning I modified my own shifter to a bent shaft for testing, and it works nicely - but your arms must be long to reach it! Chris

I got a short shifter from Chris and am really happy. I know a bunch of miata owners that love the feel I got. That says a lot for Chris's work. I have some pics on my site of what it looks like in.

I have the type with out the bearings, and it is VERY tight. There is a little lateral play in the shifter, but it in minimal.
I thouroughly enjoy the quality and craftmanship that Chris put in his product and enjoy driving my saturn more, each time I sit in the cockpit.... KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK

Just had my short shifter installed by Chris today. This is a great mod. He puts a lot of time and effort into his shifters and the quality shows. We met halfway (about 100 miles driving for each of us) and I really enjoyed the drive home with the new shifter. Thanks again Chris!!!

Hey Chris, will the short shifter fit in a 93SC2, or did the design change?

Chris' shifters are the bomb! Let me tell you what...I have never had such a smooth shifter! I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT! He took all the looseness out of the stock shifter and gave it a real racing feel. I think if you ask him, I have the lowest shifter cut to date...mine actually sits in my console...ROFL...
