Michigan?
I am about 20 minutes away from 11 mile and Gratiot and about 40 minutes away from 11 mile and Inkster. Any else ever cruise Gratiot near there? Happen to be any 'clubs'?

Yeah, I've been in that hood a bit, but when I'm in town I tend to stay out in the Farmington Hills area, close to Saturn of Southfield (they're great, btw). But, I'm not in Detroit very often, as I live in Dallas, TX. :P
I was up over Christmas break, and locals looked at me like I had 3 heads, driving all the way from TX to The Great White North in the middle of the White Season, with my RL and its decidedly-not-for-winter tires.  ... Tupperware cars FTW!!!

It's so sad, I haven't seen a redline on the road YET! It is annoying me, there are TONS of SC2's (blue in particular) with aftermarket items, never seen anything done to an Ion or actually seen a redline.
