Default verify rev limit

coming home the other day, just accelerating onto the highway (in rush hour, a scary proposition in a SC1) and I hit the rev limiter @ 6k. IS THAT RIGHT? I'm suspicious that my tach is off a bit. I thought it is 6700 rpm. car's a '93 SC1 manual.

6k is the cutoff for Sx1's, 6750 for the Sx2's. There's really no power past that anyways for the sohc.

there is no rev limiter on the automatic pcms.

sohc-6k

dohc-6750

you CAN use an automatice pcm in your manual, and the rev limiter will be gone.

I don't mind the limiter, I really just was wondering if my tach was off. so, it looks to be 1K off.
I guess I should have asked about idle speed as well. mine idles at the line under 1k, I guess 500rpm? what is warmed up idle speed supposed to be?
