Is it just me or in the first picture is the engine leaning backwards, like it won't fit? Also it doesn't look the like the hood would close.

Awesome....looks like a Caddilac V8. Which means it is proably a 472 or 500 cubic inch motor....imagine 8.2 liters in a Satty

I think this big block SC2 is best winning sleeper of them all. I thought about a future hobby: Rebuilt for Peformance 2.2L T3 Turbo Saturn QC Ion, but this incredible.

Maybe the pic is just wierd and it's hard to tell the actual depth of the hood. It's probably raised up quite a bit.

If you look at the picture of the front of the car (not the close-up of the enginge), it looks to me as if there's a buldge in the hood. But I was wondering the same things as you, eRic.

I bet that car really doesn't drive all that well, because the engine is mounted at a really bad angle, the front should be about 6" lower. This more than likely results in a horrid angle at the first u-joint after the transmission, and I wouldn't be suprised that the car snaps u-joints and driveshafts like none other.

keep hammering. we'll make it fit.
there's actually a place in metro detroit that does v8 ford focus conversions. a 5.0L or a 4.6L fits in the focus along with the mustang transmission and rear end. bring your focus, a mustang donor and money. look at the terminator focus. http://www.accuratetechnologies.com/performance/ ... eRic 02sc2 fka eRic 96sc2 Detroit SCCA Solo 2001,2002 1st DSP Waterford Hills 2007 Fun Run 1st 6a Detroit SCCA 2008 Triathalon 1st PF Detroit SCCA Solo 2009 2nd ST Crutchfield: pkeqe-6j8e3-d2qqe

I know a guy who built a beautiful drag car with a '97 SC2...the car is based on a tube-frame chassis, but the craftsmanship is fantastic! With a little work, he could actually make it street legal.
