I'm going to shock myself and say I like that car. Especially the Lexus rear and body kit. The ghost flames are a nice touch, too. Holy crap. Did I just say that?

Did you guys miss the part about it being an AUTOMATIC??? HELLOOOO? WTF was this dude thinkin, honestly!?

The last thing I would do is waste my time turboing an automatic. I don't think it looks that bad. I like the body kit and all but it sounds a little iffy. I think he is sellin it as is cuz it is misfiring w/ the auto-lite plat. crap plugs but he doesn't know that.

I don't know what he was sayin w/ the playstation controller for the airbag controller??? And he doesn't even have white face gauges. I didn't see any interior pictures either. I don't think it will sell.

oh, and my stereo system would stomp this little *****.

When you're putting down that kind of power, it becomes easier to have an automatic. Mainly for time consistancy. Granted it isn't as much fun to drive, but I would take a well turbo'd auto over a NA 5spd.

Playstation Air Bag controller

Here is another site that has them. These look more like an actual playstation controller (about 3/4 of the way down the page).

Imagine how much faster it would be if he didn't have the body kit and 400 lbs of stereo equipment in there. This is why I don't understand body kits/wings/subs/etc.

And it's an auto! Ugh.

jesus christ...
Not everyone cares about going fast...respect what other people do to their cars and quit knocking everyone's tastes. It's hilarious that damn near everyone didn't even know that a Air-bag controller comes in a Playstation-style!

"Performance" people are always talkin ish about how someone added rims and a body kit, but you never see "Show" people laughin at how performance people spent $10,000 on their engine, just to get it in the low 14's...please.

If anything, he added a Turbo kit to add more power to the car to make up for all the extra weight, which is somethin I want to do as well...With all my bodywork and stuff, I could honestly give a f___ about tryin to race someone. 1/2 the people that "race" aren't even fast anyway.

I like it, excpet that it had 145k on it, and he wants 8000. Also, its a 99...not worth it, even for the mods. As far as the stereo goes, his prolly ways about 30 pounds, its crappy, and I would have him take it out, I wouldnt even want to sell it. The racing thing, I doubt he raced. He seams to like tho look more, so who cares if hes slow. As hybrid said, you people really have no clue when it comes to styling the car. ITS A SATURN. THEY AINT FAST ANYWAY. If ya wanna race that damn bad, buy a stupid ass honda.

I'm probably THE most show-oriented person in the Saturn game (next to Coppertop), but I NEVER knock another person's game plan...In ref.to what Skin Eater said, truth be told, it takes a lot of money, time and R&D to create a truly fast Saturn. It maybe takes 1/2 of that to create a fast Honda, due to the ton of aftermarket parts available for them...not to mention their engines are 10x's more reliable also. Swap the engine, add a big Turbo (since the engine can handle it), replace a few internals, crank up the boost, and you're easily runnin 400 HP out of a normal Civic, while it'd take tons of money, a few throwed transmissions, and god knows what else for our cars to achieve that type of power...and if it gets there, it's not even reliable; not streetable at all.

please visit www.turbosaturns.net

its very easy to get 200 whp on a stock LLO with proper tuning. 400 isnt out of the question. of course it will need forged internals which is no different than a hondah. dont forget, hondas have **** for torque.

So what? Its an auto? Big freakin deal.

Actually, you get to a point where autos are 500% more consistent than a manual, when you make REAL power. Not the bolt on BS. I bet a manual car with the same mods might have the potential to be quicker, but the auto will be greatly more consistent at making fast numbers.

Only thing I like is the engine and the paint job. I really really really like the paint job. The "ghost" flames are really neat. I don't like the Lexus tail light to start with, I didn't like them on a Lexus and I don't like them on a Saturn. Personal opinion there.

Automatic? Who cares. Maybe he lives somewhere that trying to deal with heavy traffic with a manual isn't something he wants to do on a daily basis.

I don't like the front of the body kit either, to me it looks like it's trying to be a Red Line VUE, and I just am not fond of it. Other than that, it's really not a bad car, IMO. Not worth $9k for the mileage it's got, but not a bad car.

The thing that makes kinda go "duh" is the fact he invested over $15,000 and now has to sell it for school ... if he hadn't spent so much in the first place, he wouldn't have to sell it, now would he?
