2004 VUE 3.5L
Default 2006 Pontiac Torrent will be based on VUE

Equinox Central states that Pontiac will get a version of this platform for its line up called the Torrent.

The name Torrent? Thats kinda wierd.

The styling of this SUV will be up in the air. It could either be really cool or very hideous. Does anyone else having any other information?

The Vibe got a nice face lift for 2005. Now it looks more like the future Pursuit

I don't like the new Vibe. It looks kind of dull. The Vibe was the only other car I really looked at when I bought my ION. Now every time I see one I wish I would have gotten one.

I own both the ION and the Vibe; be happy you stuck with the ION.

I like the '03 and '04 Vibe models, but the '05 is nasty.

I honestly don't see a significant difference between 04 and 05 models of the vibe, but since I don't own one, I'm probably overlooking things. I think both years are ugly so maybe I'm just biased anyway lol.

Just curious if the Vue is reaching the maximum engines per year that the GM/Honda contract should obviously state.

If the Vue isn't reaching it's quota, a low volume suzuki may slip into the mix with the 3.5 engine. I doubt there is enough engines to supply the higher volume Pontiac with it.

Does Suzuki have any Suzuki designed products left? Seems to be all deawoo and now GM clones on their lots.

Vitara(2), aerio (2), Xl-7. The aerio is now featuring a 2.3l engine with 155 hp, the others feature a 2.7 l. v-6. All have 100,000 mile warranties.

sounds like the Vitara and more than likely the XL-7 would be replaced by the Theta platform vehicle. The aerio cant be too far off from being replaced as I can only ever remember seeing 1 on the road.

This is just the second year for the aerio and the first year for the new more powerful engine. I am very impressed with the car and if they accepted GM card rebates I would be hard pressed to pass it by.
