Default Cut Springs

Has anyone cut springs to lower car before? or is it a bad idea, would it have a rough ride to it? im thinking of doing it maybe 1 inch in front and 1/2 rear.does anyone have any advice.

Let me add to this: DO NOT CUT YOUR SPRINGS!!!!

My husband cut the springs in his Neon way back when, and it rode like crap. Then he got Eibach springs then cut THOSE. The things you do when you are young and naive....yes it looked cool and at some points in life, cool is better than realistic. But it ruined the shocks and led to more expenive work later on.

Definately do not cut them...

heat them instead...take a torch and it weakens the metal and you will sit lower...

j/k don't do either...
