Default Tampa Bankrobber Nabbed Driving Ion

http://www.sptimes.com/2003/12/23/Ta..._robbery.shtml

"Deputy John Syers followed the four-door, silver-blue Saturn Ion south on I-275, matching the tag number with one from a recent robbery. Soon, three or four cruisers joined the southbound pursuit and flipped on their emergency lights.

The Saturn accelerated, reaching speeds of 100 mph, but the driver didn't get far. Just north of 54th Ave. N, the car veered into a concrete barrier.

Serio, 32, was taken to Northside Hospital and Heart Institute with minor injuries. He was alone in the car."

100MPH and he walks away from the crash. Go Ion, Go Ion!

Do I see a new Saturn Advertising campaign? The Saturn Ion, the choice of bankrobbers everywhere! Hmmm, maybe not.

I am glad that the Ion kept him safe enough after the crash for the police to nab him. Thank you Ion for being one heck of a car...

Couldn't he have drove into the barrier at 100 mph without robbing the bank?

Good job, Saturn ION. You saved Tampa taxpayers some medical bill money by protecting your jackass driver so well!

He should have had a -3, then he could have at least hit 124 mph and had a chance!

While he's made some very bad choices in life...at least he picked the right car.. (well, maybe he didn't really choose, according to the report, the ION was registered to his mother)
