'just a note reporting some real world mileage in our nearly new Vue.
We just did about 500 miles from lower South Carolina up to the western North Carolina mountains and back. We stayed up around 78-80 mph on 400 miles of interstates (except around/through the urban areas) combined with about 100 miles of rural two lanes doing anywhere from 35-65 mph and got 28+ miles/gallon. Not to shabby. We traded a 4cyl Passat (about 32 mpg) on the Vue and were a little afraid the mileage was going to hurt us. As it turns out, burning 87 octane instead of the 93 the VW liked completely offsets the small difference in mileage. PS - ' Seriously thinking about removing the crossbars due to wind noise above about 60 mph. They do make a little racket and they are easy enough to get off and put back on. Otherwise, a nice first road trip in the little truck. It did very nicely. ... Don't Tread on Me A strict constructionist fiscal conservative free market freak I am.
