I have an 08 saturn vue greenline 95K, it has what looks like a really good oil leak coming from what looks like the oil pan. My question is is it a pretty straight forward oil pan removal and rtv application and re-install? or am I goin to run into issues with the oil dipstick like previous ecotech 2.4? Any advice from anyone whose done it will be appreciated.

You may just have an oil pan seal leaking oil. The 2.4L also may have the lower case seal to block (upper case) seal leaking oil. If the lower case seal is leaking it will be about 4" higher than the oil pan. and behind the starter.
Case reseal is a big job typically about 12-13 hours in the shop by an experienced technician. |
