ABS light >>> broken rear spring
Recently picked up a 07 Ion QC to clean up for the oldest grandchild.
Driving yesterday the chimes and ABS light comes on. BlueDriver reader says right rear wheel circuit. Turns out the end of the broken coil spring cut the ABS wires. Here's a spring change video (Chevy Cobalt but same basic stuff) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JDD6_YZZtF8 |

Update: spring on the other side was broken too.
Car drove great, I had no clue about this. Ordered a pair. Apparently this is pretty common. |

FWIW if you're small, old, and weak like me you'll need a spring compressor to get the new spring short enough to slide back in.
