Default Is this tie rod missing a grease cover??

Getting ready to do a bunch of work to Wifey's '07 Vue. Got inner and outer tie rods from Rock Auto, ACDELCO professional 45A1062, but is there supposed to be a cover or something over where the grease fitting goes? It looks like road junk will get in there pretty easily.

Well, it looks like I can't post a pic.. Maybe this will work? There's an image on the Amazon listing here:
https://www.amazon.com/ACDelco-45A10.../dp/B0010DPCGS

Has anyone used these? Am I supposed to install the grease fitting?

Thanks!

I've never seen any covers on grease fittings. They are supposed keep out dirt and water by design.
