There are only a few people that I have given the privelage to drive my car....my dad, my sister, my bro-in-law, and one of my friends. Other then that, I am behind that drivers seat the entire time. It's not that I don't trust people to drive it, it's just I know my car, and I know how to handle her in certain situations.

One time in my 95 sc2m:

He drove 10 miles with the ebrake on.

He commented it was a slow car...

When I first got my L, I let all my friends drive it, at least around the block. No harm done, though, B passed more cars with my L in one afternoon than I have in the last 14 months I've owned it! He said it has very good pickup for a NA 4-cylinder. hehe
When B needs a nice four door, which is quite rarely, I let him borrow my L and I get to drive his 5-speed '91 Eagle Talon TSi AWD with a 16G turbo. I do pass people in that car!

Update:

The last person I let drive my 97 sc2 blew the diff pin out on it.

Not another person will EVER drive one of my cars.

Not a spouse, but I have taken my 2 nephews out and let them drive my SL2 prior to getting thier liscences, supervised of course.

They both will have Saturns so good uncle I am, I showed them a video of someone blowing out thier differential pin and told them "that's what happens, and the girls will all laugh at you for messing up your ride".

Cool

I've let several people drive my SC2, and usually get amused comments.

Most notably, a couple years back during new years, me and a couple friends went out to a party an hour away and we took my car since it got the best gas milage. Since I intended on drinking, I had one of my friends be designated driver, and he drove it back. I got a good laugh out of his complaints about the transmission; he regularly drives a Ranger, and was completely unprepared for how tight the shifts were.

"Good god! This thing drives like an arcade game! No wonder you keep beating me in Gran Turismo!"

While I was away for a few days, my friend Liz was driving my Saturn. When I got back home last night there was bad news waiting for me. She said that the car had made loud banging noises when she stepped on the gas. Although curiosity was killing me, we waited until this morning to investigate.
After a brief road test, this is what I surmised. Liz drives aggressively on the hilly roads around here. And, the banging she heard as she stomped on the gas was the sound of two large soft drink bottles rolling around and slamming into the inside of the trunk lid. It seems that Liz forgot about them being in there.
Anyway, my Saturn is still running great.

Default not in a million years

I will allow only one person to drive my saturn and that's Jammer, namely because he also has a saturn, but also because he's the only one of my friends who drive like I do. Other than that I won't even let my parents drive my car. And my girlfriend hates the fact that I won't let her either.

I guess saturns lead one to hostility when it comes to sharing, lol.

On a few occasions we've let friends drive our 03 Ion and our former 93 SL2. None of the family want to for some reason-They're all Ford and Chevy people...

I have a friend that bugs me about wanting to drive my 78 Caprice and I won't let him, I figure I baby that car too much and if anyone is gonna beat up on "The Big Iron Bastage" it will be _ME_!

I taught someone to drive in the '95, but that was in a large open parking lot. Nobody has driven the SC1, mostly because it's a manual .

My boyfriend, only because he let's me drive his Accord. My dad likes to take it "without me knowing", but it's ok because when he does he fills my tank. I'll do anything for free gas, I'm like a gas whore.
