What struts and shocks are a better ride for my 2007 Saturn Aura XR?

I didn't really research anything when I changed mine, I needed them right away. The only trouble with the originals were that the strut bearings were bad. Springs and shocks were good. I would have just changed the strut mounts and bearings but it was cheap to change the whole assembly. I used Monroe Quick Struts up front. They have variable rate springs. After they were installed the ride height was a little high but after settling a couple of weeks it's back to original. The car handled much better on the road and bumps and potholes were less noticeable. Likely due to the variable rate springs.
In the back I changed the springs because one of the factory springs had broken. I used a pair of Moog Variable rate springs and a pair of Munroe shocks that match the shock used in the front struts. Got the same result as the front, ride height increased, settled after a few weeks. Overall, ride and handling improved.
The Monroe's were on a two for one sale and for buying the pair of back shocks at the same time they sent me a $75 prepaid MasterCard. That's what sealed the deal for me. I even bought them at two different places, submitted the receipts and boom...free money...lol. So look around for deals like that.
I didn't need to get an alignment. There is no camber adjustment (unless you buy and install camber bolts). The strut mounting bolts have splines to ensure everything gets pulled back in to place properly.
I'm happy with the result and they are lifetime guaranteed. If only my faithful Aura would last that long.
