Default Dual fuel sending units?

Our 2003 Saturn Vue with 3.0 v6 is having issues with the fuel gauge not working. Since the fuel pump was starting to make a loud pump noise. I went ahead and change out the fuel pump and sending unit assembly. It's all in one piece. And its the one on the passenger side.
Question: is there two sending units on this tank? Drivers side and passenger side? Reason I am asking is the fuel gauge is still not working right. Daughter about ran out of gas because the gauge was reading wrong.

Default Re: Dual fuel sending units?

According to service manual info;

Fuel Tank Module Assembly (Primary)

A fuel tank module assembly is located in each side of the fuel tank. The fuel tank module assembly attaches to the upper side of the fuel tank. The primary fuel tank module assembly consists of the following major components:

*Fuel level sensor
*Electric fuel pump and reservoir bucket
*Fuel pump strainer
*Siphon jet pump

Fuel Tank Module Assembly (Secondary)

The assembly mounts to the threaded opening of the plastic fuel tank with a multi-lipped seal and a threaded retainer (nut). The assembly contains the following:

*Siphon jet pump
*Fuel level sensor
*Fuel pressure regulator
