Default Cross bar loose on 2009 Vue.....

I need to tighten up my crossbar. When i pull back the soft plastic cap i see an unusual bolt head. It has a star pattern with about 15 points. The center of the head is stamped with a 5.

Looks like a spline pattern but spline sockets do not fit.

Saw a photo on this site of an allen type wrench with male and female ends.

That may be what i need but am at a loss to where to find one.

GM parts guy, auto parts store, lowes, all scratching their heads.

Advice appreciated, thanks!

Cant help you with the proper tool, but when all else fails notch the middle with a dremel for a big flat head screw driver. then figure out new hardware once its apart.
