Default 2007 Saturn Vue Doors will not open

I have a 2007 Saturn Vue that at times the doors will not open I can get them to open after hitting the door lock button or driving it however Iím looking for suggestions on a permanent fix.

Locks consistently working only with engine running sounds like a power supply problem.

Door lock/unlock actuators can become "lazy" as years pile up.

Internal wiring resistance should not change but small resistance can develop in connections and relays to decrease voltage reaching actuators.

Lack of lubrication and "slop" in parts and pieces moved by door actuators can also sap actuator power.

My first step toward isolating stubborn actuators would be to verify battery power meets spec.

I'd start by using a digital voltmeter to check for 12.6 volts minimum battery voltage with key and all switchable electrical loads off.

A healthy door actuator will consistently activate with 12.6 voltage so if your voltage is low you should work toward fixing.
