Default Roof rail carrier cover/clip.

It finally happened. My front left roof rail carrier trim cover fell off. It was kind of loose the last time I checked it, and thought nothing of it, but now it is gone. Has anyone out there replaced their missing one(s)? There are some options though. I could buy a new OEM one for a lot of money or some after market overseas ones from England or Bulgaria (eye roll), for a lot less. Obviously there have got to be some differences in quality and fit. The after market ones in pic. #1 and #4 do not have the notch in it for flipping the the cover up as the OEMs do. Has anyone replaced theirs with any of these ones? Please let me know. Thanks in advance.

Well mine came off the first year so OEM is not much of a guarantee on these covers. I looked at getting new ones but based on forum posts people kept losing their replacements also . . .

But there are some covers which are held in with a screw that goes into the rack mounting port. That looks like a good idea. Not sure how well it fits.

UK import might be easiest. There are some good things out of Bulgaria and the Astra is well liked there so don't assume a scam. Anything is possible on eBay and Amazon however.

This seems to show part numbers for front and back:

Not quite sure what is cover and what is the big clip or if they are sold together.

I think these are useful part numbers to start with
front primed 13125721 5187877
front black 13125719 5187914
rear primed 13125725 5187878
rear black 13125723 5187915

Thanks for the part #'s. I should say that the same cover was lost at the dealer when it was washed when being serviced there several years ago. They begrudgingly replaced it. Since a roof rack is not in the future, I am thinking about gluing the covers down.

It appears as if the cover and clip are one unit, of course until they break that is. I would also think that they would be the black color part number.

I can get OEM 13125719 ones for 28 or 40 dollars apiece from either a U.S. mega parts supplier or on eBay. One aftermarket from a seller in Turkey for $18 (100% feedback). A set of 4 aftermarket ones from G.B. for $27 (99.8% feedback), from Austria for $23 (99.7% feedback) and finally Bulgaria for 14 Yankee dollars (97.9% feedback, ouch!).

Since these pieces are easily lost, I am pondering about buying a set, but then again I could just buy the one piece from the Turkish supplier. I think I should be O.K. there, just so I stay away from the Saudi embassy.

I will report back on what transpires.
