Dizzy Mult elec. issues, BCM/ECM or a dying ion (07)?

Aloha gang. My 07 Ion has about 105K miles, and in the last 3 months it's had 3 electrical issues. I'm not sure if these are genuine independent problems, or a symptom of a failing ECM/BCM. Any thoughts?

3 months ago my power door locks started acting up. They unlock 100% of the time with the fob and with both switches, but 97/100 times they do not LOCK with either the fob or either switch. The BCM/ECM (passenger side console, whichever it is) makes an audible click when trying to lock. Tried switching/swapping all fuses and relays to no avail. Read it might be the BCM.

Yesterday, my power steering randomly went out and showed the PWR STR warning. After getting home and sitting overnight, things were fine. I've no outstanding recall repairs for this issue.

Today the check engine light came on with P0121, TPS A.

I feel like it's too much of a coincidence. I can 'clean'/replace the power steering motor if needed, but the fact the TPS warning came one so close is strange. Makes me feel like a BCM/ECM issue in general. Any thoughts from anyone would be appreciated. I'll follow the guide to try and salvage the power steering motor. The door locks are the most annoying issue since I need to manually LOCK them.

REWARD EXCELLENCE!

Door locks, whether using switches or remote, are controlled by the body control module. The ecm runs the EFI system for the engine. You might have to determine if the door switches are preventing doors from locking by disconnecting door switches from interfering with remote use. This may help determine if the bcm is faulty. The bcm has many functions besides remotes, Passlock security and door operation. Include instrument panel, OBD II communications to the OBD II port, interior/exterior lighting, communicating with ecm, abs, and airbag modules and you have an idea of how much the bcm controls.
