2004 VUE 2.2L
Question 2.2l manual owners: what are your RPMs. at at high speeds?

Just wondering what those of you Vue 2.2l manual transmission owners' RPM stay at when doing 60, 70...80 mph?

At 65 mph my RPM are at around 3000.

What does your Vue RPM stay at at high speeds?

REWARD EXCELLENCE!

2003 VUE 2.2L
Default Re: 2.2l manual owners: what are your RPMs. at at high speeds?

I think we addressed this question in two other threads..

These are approx from my memory. I'm basing it on when I'm in 5th gear, the speedometer and the odometer point almost exactly in the same direction.

60 mph = 2700 rpm
70 mph = 3300 rpm
80 mph = 4000 rpm

2004 VUE 2.2L
Default Re: 2.2l manual owners: what are your RPMs. at at high speeds?

Cruising steady at about 75MPH, my RPMs stay at about 3400.

I could have sworn last year when I cruised on the freeway (I park the VUE in the Summer and just drive it in Winter since it doesn't really rust) that this engine/transmission was entirely different.

Like significantly lower in RPMs.

Whatever...I am just going to have to live with it like this. I wonder if this vehicle/these engines cruised at the same very high RPMs when they were new off the lot?
