Wrench 2005 Saturn Vue Base Front Sub-Frame Bolt Removal?

Hello All!
So toiled away on my timing chain and cylinder head replacement, Only to drive it for a week and then have my Clutch slave cylinder go! UGHHHHH

So bought a new one and trying to get the Trans out (5-Spd Manual)
And the Two Front Sub-frame bolts just spin!?!?!?!
Seems weird to me that such an important part would not be protected from the elements better?
Any experience with removing these parts????

Any suggestions for how to move forward ?
Do i just cut them off and try to remove ?
New bolts from the Stealership i'm guessing?

Any help would be Golden! ~ Thanks

REWARD EXCELLENCE!

There is a small square shaped opening on the frame that you can see the nut-plate. Use a small die grinder or sawzall and cut the opening a little wider so you can get a wrench in there and hold the nut plate.

Spray some PB Blaster in there on the threads

I have had some success on other vehicles removing screws from captive nuts that turn by keeping tension on the screw head. Forcing a chisel between the head of the bolt and frame. The captive nut than catches on the tang or broken weld originally used to secure the nut.

You may have to treat the removal like you were tapping it. Clockwise-counterclockwise plenty of oil.

Chase the threads on nut and bolt and repeat the tension on the screw head when assembling.

When you drop the cradle, inspect it very carefully for rust.. Mine was completely rusted out. Scroll down to post 9 for a couple photos..

These things rust from the inside out, so wack it with a hammer in the suspet areas...
