Default 96 SL2 alternator job

My alternator died on me in the parking lot Im 99% sure. Came back out to a car that clicked on crank a couple times then stopped putting power to anything altogether. Got it running with a jump. Battery is brand new. Died upon shutting off and trying to restart again.

Now looking at what alternator Im getting and I have a couple questions
1. Is the AcDelco "professional" alternator here the OEM alternator or is it a rebadged random manufacturer (Ive figured out its a rebadged Remy 91339, just don't know if the remy was the OEM part)
https://www.amazon.com/ACDelco-335-1...ustomerReviews

If I cant buy the OEM part, Ill just buy the cheapest chinese piece of crap with a lifetime warranty.

2. Ive read in reviews that there are TWO alternators for the saturn S series. Is there a way to know which one I have? This is the alternator that comes up for my car in rock auto.

REWARD EXCELLENCE!

Your car uses the older style alternator and this is the best deal. DB Electric, https://www.dbelectrical.com/product...-95-96-97.html These are new units with a warranty. If you are in a hurry pay the additional shipping.

Clutch as always Oldnuc, figured Id go with DB electrical if it was all the same since Ive used them for cheap saturn starters before.

Ill probably pick it up through amazon since they guarantee same-day shipping and there's a prime eligible seller. (I have a prime account for literally this reason) As long as its the same part.

Beware of what you may perceive as chinese crap. One member said the same for chinese ac compressors when I pointed out ACDelco's Professional compressor is made in China while the ACDelco one is made in Mexico. The popular dbelectrical starter is made in -----, not USA. No one wants to reveal what country of origin their S-series dbelectrical starter came from, only that its cheaper than any other competitor and works....... You might be able to see the country of origin for your alternator on rockauto or dbelectric's website. You can always ask.

That is the one that fits the 96 you have. This is a video on how to get it out of the car and be sure you not that it goes back in in reverse order. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iogtiYraHCg
