![]() The driver's power window isn't working. If it were any other window I wouldn't bother -- all other windows are fine. I've replaced the window switch and when that didn't fix it, I changed the window motor in the door. I can jump signal the motor and the window works, but it's not working from the switch. Any ideas? A wire short somewhere? Thanks.

![]() Assuming you are using an outside power and ground source to see if the window motor works.
Have you used a test light to see if there is power and ground to the motor connector when the switch is operated? The power and ground will switch wires when the up or down is used. Best quick test is a test light across the motor connector. It should light up when the switch is used to go up or down. If no power or ground I would suspect broken wires in the body to door harness. ... A lousy day in paradise is still a day in paradise.

![]() Thanks so much. This is helpful. I think it's likely I have a shorted wire where the door is hinged to the car. Others on this site have reported that problem.

![]() I would test from the connector at the switch. See if you can make the motor work by putting power and ground to the appropriate wires. If it still doesn't work, check continuity and shorts to ground between the switch connector and motor connector.

![]() Both led lights on the switch panel are working including the led for the driver's window switch. Could there still be a problem with the connector if the led lights are lit?
