Hi from Central Wisconsin
New member, long time Saturn owner. Bought a 01 SC2 and a 01 SL-1 brand new. Had them for many years, finally selling the SL-1 7 years ago at 350,000 miles.
We're a Toyota family now and I have a nice Tacoma but recently took a job with a long commute. So I went on a quest to find a good ol' bulletproof fuel miserly Saturn.
Bought a 99 SC1 for $800 yesterday. Needs some front wheel bearings (no surprise) and probably a motor mount (again, no surprise), but runs good enough for the moment, til I save up a little cash for those items.
Glad to be here, and glad to be a Saturn owner again.
Funny thing...my first two were manual transmission. This one's an auto...and after 7 years, I found myself stabbing for the clutch with my left foot and trying to shift out of reflex, and I haven't driven a manual in all that time! I guess it just was a memory reflex...
Also, about 3 years ago when it came time for my stepson to move out of the nest and get a car of his own, we found him a nice SL-2. He's still driving it...

Re: Hi from Central Wisconsin
Welcome to SaturnFans, mikay! Glad to have you along for the "ride."
302,000 miles - Holy canolli!
The blessings of liberty erode in my country.
Gov't's grown bigger, but a chance exists that it will be reduced. I'm cautiously hopeful.
