Default Replacing front trailing control arm bushing

The FSM says you need to remove the control arm and I'd want to redo the alignment if I did that. But I've seen some imply they were able to remove the trailing bushing with the control arm in place. There doesn't seem to be much room to pull it back off the shaft but maybe some twisting and torquing would do it??????

...IF THIS IS THE ALUMINUM BUSHING , YOU CAN GET IT OUT BY TWISTING AND USING A PRY BAR, I DID IT ONCE TO REPLACE THEM , THEN LATER IN MY VUE'S LIFE I DECIDED TO GO WITH COMPLETE MOOG LOWER CONTROL ARMS, JUST MY .02, DC

Thanks. I'm kind of thinking worse case if I can't get it far back enough to slide off I could remove the forward control arm bushing but keep the control arm attached to the knuckle.

I wasn’t able to push the control arm down enough to slide the rear bushing off without removing the control arm from the cradle. However I did not need to remove it from the strut assembly.

So.. If I'm understanding, you can get this off with some 'prying' ... my concern is then, getting the new one back on as it won't have the same amount of play... Does anyone have photos of this process by chance to help me out? Also, if I take off the bolt that sticks thru the bushing, does that increase the access for removal at all?

I just replace the whole arm. If that bushing is bad, the other one and the ball joint can't be far behind.

Yeah.... the others are indeed probably not far behind... just hoping to not have to also get an alignment.... this photo does help greatly though as it gives me a different angle on that bushing... looks as if once I get the two main bolts off, i could then slide it out of that support and rotate it enough to get off the arm. Has anyone else who's done this have any additional photos to share? thanks
