Default Shifter Fitment

Will a shifter from a true first gen (1992) fit a second gen? I have the boot and knob, just need to know if it all fits together the way it should.

I believe the boot fitment is different from first gen to 2nd and 3rd. The knob is the same though.

I believe the 95 would be the same as a gen2 as the interior changed that year.

I wasn't sure, so I checked

I thought I read somewhere that only the instrument panel changed for '95 but it sounds like center console changed, too. Maybe it was the interior door cards for '95 that did not change until '96?

The door cards and back seat things are all still gen 1. Instrument cluster, center console, radio, airbags, are all gen 2

Thanks for confirming. Every once in a while, I think a '95 SC2 may not be a bad thing to own. I like the first gen looks, 3nd gen interior
