Default Coolant Temp Sensor vs Sender?

I did research and have not found a definitive answer on which one would be the ECTS that controls fuel/air mixture. On RockAuto there is a sender and a sensor for my 95 SL2. The sensor is identical to the air intake sensor and the sender is different. Which one controls the fuel/air mixture?

The "sensor" is the one you need. SMP #TX73 or TX73T

Thanks! On a related, does the "sender" that controls the gauge also activate the radiator fan or does the ECTS activate the fan?

The PCM controls the fan, using the ECT sensor input. That 1-wire "sender" is only for the dash gauge.
