Default In chassis engine overhaul??

Has anyone done a in chassis overhaul?Thinking about it .Also looking to buy a remanufactured cylinder head.Recommendations??

what year/motor? i went thru the heads on my 3.0. you probably will be able to pull pistons/rods on any motor in car. cant do the rear main seal and its hard to reach front seal/cover due to frame rail. so saying overhaul is somewhat sketchy.

At least on the 2.2 you kinda can.. You can do rings, wrist pins and rod bearings....and of course the entire head.. but.. like the other poster..no rear main.. in 2.2 the front main is accessible if memory serves. This would leave out replacing the crank and honing the cylinders.. (would be very tricky).. and crankshaft bearings /thrust bearings. I did the rear main when I did the clutch...

I assume through the bottom /,Not the top?
